Mature plant
Erect, few branches in upper parts, often several stems in a clump, 8 to 30 inches tall at maturity. Smooth and hairless.
Leaves alternate, although they can be crowded and appear opposite or whorled. Linear, 3/4 to 3 inches long, smooth edges, yellow-green, hairless, without stalks.
