Canola futures closed lower for the second straight day on Wednesday, with losses in Chicago soyoil and palm oil pressuring the market.
Good weather for the remainder of the 2024 Prairie harvest added to the downside. Tuesday’s Manitoba crop report showed the overall harvest in the province at 85% complete, with 94% of the canola in the bin.
November canola lost $1.40 to $615.10, and January was down $1.70 at $626.10.
